CLEVELAND – July 31,2013, Mayor Frank G. Jackson, Councilman Joe Cimperman, Clerk of Courts Earle B. Turner and Public Safety Director Martin Flask opened the new City One Stop Impound and Clerk of Courts Payment Center.
“This center provides a more efficient way of doing business for the city and will improve our customer service to the community,” said Mayor Jackson.
For decades, the process of recovering a towed vehicle involved stopping first at the Justice Center downtown to handle paperwork, then going to the impound center at Quigley Road. Now, people retrieving their vehicles can go straight to the One Stop Impound and Clerk of Courts Payment Center. The step of going to the Justice Center has been eliminated for recovering a towed vehicle.
“This center has been a goal of our office for more than 10 years,” said Mr. Turner. “Retrieving an impounded vehicle or settling a ticket is stressful enough. This center at least relieves the stress of having to come downtown to take care of that business.”
The new center is open weekdays 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, and weekends 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at 3040 Quigley Road, one mile from Steelyard Commons.
In addition to impound paperwork, Clerk of Court staff will also accept payment for Parking, Photo Violation, and Waste Collection Tickets. Traffic tickets (where a driver was stopped by an officer and given a citation) must still be paid online, by phone or at the Justice Center.
