Moná Scott will host a virtual panel discussion titled From Confusion to Clarity: Understanding Cleveland Housing Court, the Pandemic and the CDC’s Eviction Moratorium. The remote event will address relevant housing issues in Cleveland and the recent Community for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Eviction Moratorium Order.
Moderated by Cleveland.com Metro Columnist, Leila Atassi, the ZOOM conversation will include Judge Scott and her leadership team. Additional panelists, The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, Executive Director Colleen Cotter, Esq.; CHN Housing Partners, Executive Director Kevin J. Nowak and City of Cleveland Building and Housing Director, Ayonna Blue Donald will also participate in the discussion.
Judge Scott along with her leadership team, will clarify the recent CDC Eviction Moratorium Order enacted earlier this month and answer questions submitted by attendees. The discussion will also unpack housing related matters in Cleveland such as the recent Right to Counsel Law, COVID-19 Rental Assistance, required court filings of landlords and more.
