WAIVERS FOR VIOLATIONS
OF CODIFIED ORDINANCES AND THE OHIO REVISED CODE
The fine for all waiverable minor misdemeanor offenses shall be fifty-five dollars ($55.00) plus court costs. Court costs shall be assessed to the case not each charge.
Any speeding infraction that is more than 25 miles per hour over the posted speed limit is non-waiverable. Any speeding infraction in a school zone that is more than 15 miles over the posted speed limit is non-waiverable.
The following offenses are exceptions to the waiver schedule because they have mandatory fines or enhancement for subsequent offenses.

SECURITY SCHEDULE FOR WRITTEN PLEAS
OF GUILTY IN ABSENTIA ON NON-WAIVERABLE OFFENSES
Pursuant to the requirements of Rule 4 (A) of the Ohio Traffic Rules and the provisions of Local Rule 5.06 (B), the court hereby promulgates and adopts the following security schedule for non-waiverable violations of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Cleveland and the Ohio Revised Code. In cases having multiple charges, the deposit of security shall be based upon the highest degree offense charged, not for each charge.
The Clerk of Court shall prominently post a current security schedule at the counter in the Clerk of Court’s office where these deposits are paid.
$100.00 plus court costs
Fourth Degree Misdemeanor
$150.00 plus costs (except for violations having mandatory minimum fines, in which case the deposit of security shall be set at the mandatory minimum fine amount)
Third Degree Misdemeanor
$200.00 plus court costs
Second Degree Misdemeanor
$250.00 plus court costs
First Degree Misdemeanor
$350.00 plus court costs (except for OVI which shall be $1,000)
