CLEVELAND, OH – August 19, 2025 – It was a truly inspiring day in Cleveland! The Cleveland Municipal Court proudly celebrated the graduation of 16 individuals from the Judge Larry A. Jones Drug Court in a ceremony held on yesterday. Each graduate represents a powerful story of resilience and real change.

Instead of facing jail time and fines, these individuals, confronted their struggles with addiction, and received extensive support and guidance from the Cleveland Municipal Court. Through their hard work and dedication, they've achieved sobriety, tested drug-free, and are now ready to embrace brighter futures.

This program truly embodies our commitment to helping people. Since its establishment in 1998, nearly 2,000 participants have successfully completed the Drug Court, transforming their lives and positively impacting our community. Under the dedicated leadership of Administrative and Presiding Judge Michelle D. Earley, the program continues its vital work.

"Watching our graduates rebuild their lives is incredibly rewarding, and it truly strengthens our entire community," said Judge Earley. "This program is a perfect example of our belief in helping the whole person, offering real support that leads to lasting change."

The ceremony featured powerful testimonials, including one graduate who openly shared their journey, admitting they "fell off the wagon time and time again," but found profound appreciation for the Court's approach: "I was really hardheaded for many years. Instead of putting me in jail, they worked with me." Their courage and determination were truly inspiring.
