CLEVELAND, OH – August 4, 2025 – Get ready for some good news! The Cleveland Municipal Court is thrilled to announce the upcoming graduation ceremony for the Judge Larry A. Jones Drug Court, where at least 15 people are set to celebrate a huge milestone in their lives.
Instead of facing jail time and fines, these individuals, who've struggled with addiction, got real help and extensive support from the Cleveland Municipal Court. They've worked hard, tested drug-free, and are ready to move forward.
This program truly walks the talk when it comes to helping people. Since its start in 1998, almost 2,000 participants have successfully graduated, transforming their futures. Now, under the dedicated leadership of Administrative and Presiding Judge Michelle D. Earley, the program continues its vital work.
"We believe in helping the whole person here at the Cleveland Municipal Court, and this program is a perfect example of that commitment," said Judge Earley.
The media is warmly invited to attend. We're excited that we'll have at least one, possibly two, graduates willing to share their personal stories.
One participant, who frankly admitted they "fell off the wagon time and time again," shared her appreciation: "I was really hardheaded for many years. Instead of putting me in jail, they worked with me."
