Court Hosts Students from Campus International School

The Cleveland Municipal Court hosted two groups of eighteen students from Campus International School on Friday April 17, 2026.

The students began the day with a visit to City Hall, hosted by Ward 15 Cleveland City Councilman Charles Slife, where they posed as Mayor Bibb, members of council and public commenters. They debated over an ordinance to charge residents $5 to visit playgrounds across the city. The pseudo-council groaned and booed at the proposed ordinance, which ultimately failed.

Students were then escorted to the Justice Center and the courtrooms of Judge Saffold, Judge Oakar and Judge O'Brien where they took part in a mock trial involving charges of Failure to do Your Homework. In addition to participating in mock trials, students enjoyed lunch at City Hall and toured the Cleveland Police Museum
