Governor Kasich Appoints Michael R. Sliwinski to the Cleveland Municipal Court

Michael R. Sliwinski, the Ohio Lottery Commission’s assistant legal counsel, will become a judge on the Cleveland Municipal Court on April 4 after his appointment by Gov. John R. Kasich on March 14 to fill a vacancy.

Michael R. Sliwinski, the Ohio Lottery Commission’s assistant legal counsel, will become a judge on the Cleveland Municipal Court on April 4 after his appointment by Gov. John R. Kasich on March 14 to fill a vacancy.

Sliwinski must win in the November 2017 general election to retain the seat for the full six-year term commencing Jan. 5, 2018. Sliwinski replaces Judge Ed Wade, who was elected in November to another seat on the court.

Sliwinski received his bachelor’s degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu and his law degree from the University of Dayton. He was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio on Nov. 10, 2003.

Sliwinski is a member of the Ohio and the Cleveland Metropolitan bar associations and serves on the Cuyahoga County Soldiers and Sailors Monument Board of Trustees.  Click here for additional coverage from cleveland.com.
