Born on March 15, 1953, Cleveland, Ohio. Married to Marcia Turner; has four children: Shiloh, Christina, Lacora and Kierra.

Cleveland’s youngest public official as Councilman for Ward 2 for 21 years; 1st Vice-Chairman of the Black Elected Democrats of Cleveland, Ohio, 1992; coordinator of the Millcreek Development (putting together one of the largest housing developments in the City of Cleveland); Chairman of the Browns Stadium Committee (formed to determine whether the Stadium should be renovated or rebuilt).
