Maintaining the Records of the Cleveland Municipal Courts

The Criminal/Traffic Division of the Clerk of Courts Office records, processes and maintains all criminal, traffic and housing matters decided in Cleveland Municipal Court. In the course of executing that mission, we collect and distribute fines, court costs, bonds and fees associated with these cases. The division also assists the general public, attorneys and law enforcement agencies that use the court’s services.

The division also records and processes felony charges--from a defendant’s arrest through preliminary hearing--and then transfers the felony cases to the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
