Lawyers throughout Greater Cleveland are invited to a demonstration of the new e-filing system of the Cleveland Municipal Court on Tuesday, September 20, 2011.  At 10 am on the 12th floor of the Justice Center, attorneys will learn how to use the latest phase of the e-filing system, which allows civil briefs to be filed through the Court’s website. Until now, paper documents had to be filed at the Clerk’s office.

This will reduce paper purchase costs, and will allow the court to function more efficiently.

E-filing is available only to attorneys presently, but the Court is working diligently to allow the general public to file legal civil documents through the court website in the near future.

The e-filing project began in October of 2010, but has not been available for use until now. It is an ongoing advancement of the Cleveland Municipal Court and the office of Clerk of Courts Earle B. Turner.

Attorneys who cannot attend the demonstration in person can still witness it on line.  Those who want to log onto a web presentation can send their email addresses to public information officer Obie Shelton prior to September 20th.
