(Cleveland) – On Friday January 11, 2019 the Cleveland Municipal Court unveiled a newly designed homepage with changes aimed at providing easier access to most frequently used information and services. These changes are the most significant since the Court completely overhauled its website in 2012, moving from static HTML technology to a dynamic content management system (CMS).
New features in the redesign include replacing text links with icons for most frequently used services, based on analytics, such as paying tickets and looking up case information. Additional improvements include clickable image slides, a scrolling news feed, embedded video and enhanced language tools. The inclusion of a background slide will allow images of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio to be featured.
One benefit of a CMS is that design changes such as these, and ongoing minor design tweaks, can be more easily accomplished through the use of templates and other tools built into the software. In addition to analytics, design changes were influenced by public survey input in an effort to make the site more user friendly.
