(Cleveland) – After months of planning and cooperation from judges, prosecutors, public defenders, attorneys and court staff from the judicial and clerk divisions, the phones started ringing at 9:00 a.m. Friday, March 15 and continued until 6:00 p.m.

(Cleveland) – The 60th Graduation Ceremony of the Greater Cleveland Drug Court, under the direction of Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Lauren C. Moore, will take place Wednesday, February 27 at 4:30 p.m. in the Cuyahoga County Jury Assembly Room located on the fourth floor of the Justice Center.

(Cleveland) – Due to the extreme weather conditions forecast for Northeast Ohio for the next two days, all criminal cases scheduled on the personal dockets of the judges on the Cleveland Municipal Court for Wednesday, January 30, 2019 are being rescheduled for Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at the originally set time, unless otherwise scheduled.

(Cleveland) -- On Monday, September 24, Luis Cruz III made history by being the first defendant fitted with a GPS monitored ankle bracelet, after pleading not guilty to a charge of aggravated menacing in front of Judge Charles Patton in the third floor arraignment room.

(Cleveland) – The 58th Graduation Ceremony of the Greater Cleveland Drug Court, under the direction of Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Lauren C. Moore, took place Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 4:30 p.m. in the Cuyahoga County Jury Assembly Room located on the fourth floor of the Justice Center.

(Cleveland, Ohio) -- The stakeholders in the Cuyahoga County criminal justice system today established the Cuyahoga County Criminal Justice Council (CJC), a collaboration agreement that looks to make a positive difference in the local criminal justice system by communicating, coordinating, planning and advocating for system improvements, programs, and polices in the interests of advancing justice, fairness and public safety.

(Cleveland) -- The Cleveland Municipal Court’s Mental Health Docket has been under the direction of Judge Emanuella Groves since October, 2016. Under her leadership, significant changes have been made to increase the positive impact the docket has on its participants.

(Cleveland) – The Honorable Michelle D. Earley will become the Administrative and Presiding Judge for the Cleveland Municipal Court in 2018.

(Cleveland) -- On Friday, December 7, 2017, Ann Clare Oakar was sworn in as judge on the Cleveland Municipal Court bench, a month to the day she won election to an unexpired term previously held by the Honorable Jimmy L. Jackson Jr.

(Columbus, Ohio) -- The Specialized Mental Health Docket of the Cleveland Municipal Court has been recertified by the Ohio Supreme Court’s Commission on Specialized Dockets. The recertification process was necessary due to the passing of Judge Ed Wade last year who was originally in charge of the docket. When Judge Emanuella Groves was appointed to the position, the Court had to re-start the certification process.

(Cleveland) – Over 300 people gathered in the rotunda of the Old County Courthouse Thursday, November 9 to pay tribute to the Honorable Ronald B. Adrine who is leaving the Cleveland Municipal Court on January 3, 2018 following 36 years on the bench.

Moore, will take place Monday, October 16 at 5:00 p.m. at South Pointe Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic facility located at 20000 Harvard Rd. in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.

(Cleveland) – The 55th Graduation Ceremony of the Greater Cleveland Drug Court, under the direction of Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Lauren C. Moore, took place Wednesday, July 26 at 4:30 p.m. in the Cuyahoga County Jury Assembly Room located on the fourth floor of the Justice Center.

(Cleveland, Ohio) – The Cleveland Municipal Court has begun implementation of the Public Safety Assessment (PSA), a data-driven risk assessment tool that provides objective information for judges to consider when deciding whether to release or detain a defendant prior to trial.

(Cleveland) – The Cleveland Municipal Court on Tuesday, May 16, celebrated the first graduation by a participant who successfully completed the new Community Court, which is geared toward recognizing participants whose personal circumstances can best be addressed outside the normal criminal docket.

(Cleveland) – The Human Trafficking Docket of the Cleveland Municipal Court has been recertified by the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Commission on Specialized Dockets.
