Greater Cleveland Drug Court Team Visits
-
Northern Ohio Recovery Association (NORA)
With the use of heroin steadily rising and funding for treatment geared toward the heroin epidemic nationally and statewide, the Greater Cleveland Drug Court wanted to find an innovative and alternative way to focus, assist and treat participants with a clinical diagnosis of crack cocaine, marijuana and or PCP. On Thursday, September 15, 2016 members of the Greater Cleveland Drug Court Treatment Team visited the Northern Ohio Recovery Association (NORA).
NORA will provide peer recovery support services, intervention and recovery services, recovery housing services, ongoing recovery support, community resource collaborative services, recovery education and recovery advocacy for participants of the Greater Cleveland Drug Court with a clinical diagnosis of crack cocaine, marijuana and or PCP.
According to Dr. Daryl D. Jackson, Program Coordinator of the Greater Cleveland Drug Court, “Our treatment philosophy is to address all facets of a person’s life through treatment planning – their physical, mental, emotional, nutritional, fitness and spiritual – to provide complete care for their mind, body and spirit. We take the time to get to know the individual and all of their life experiences that have contributed to their current situation; no one left behind”.
