On Friday, February 25, 2022 two former Cleveland Municipal Court judges were honored at Public Auditorium as part of the City's Celebrating Our Legacy in Public Service Series.
Cleveland Mayor Justin M. Bibb and City Council President Blaine A. Griffin were on hand to help recognize Sara J. Harper, first African American woman to graduate from Case Western Reserve University's School of Law and C. Ellen Connally, first African American woman in Ohio to be elected to the bench without first being appointed. Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judges Shirley Strickland Saffold and Cassandra Collier-Williams were also present.
