Jurors will report first to the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Jury Commission. The department is located on the fourth floor of the Justice Center, downtown Cleveland, at 1200 Ontario Street. Jurors may enter from the East side of the building (Ontario Street) or the north side of the building (Lakeside Avenue).
A juror badge is provided and instructions given to report to the City of Cleveland Jury Services for further details. The City of Cleveland Jury Services is located on the same floor as the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Jury Commission but in front of the 4th floor atrium.

Length of Service
The Cleveland Municipal Court utilizes the Cuyahoga County Jury Commission system for jury management. They summons our jurors based on trials scheduled for the month. If summoned to serve on a Monday, and selected to serve as juror on a trial, you will be required to serve until the trial is completed. If not selected to serve on a Monday trial, you will go back to the County for further instructions. If you are summoned to serve Tuesday through Friday, and are selected to serve on a trial, you will be required to serve until the trial is completed.

If you are not selected to serve on a trial, you will not have to serve for at least two years; a letter and certificate will be handed out to all jurors, whether you served or not, stating the length of time served and amount paid. Please keep these documents, they will exempt you from serving for the next two years.
Security
The Justice Center’s security system consists of metal detectors at each building entrance. Every person entering the Justice Center building must pass through the metal detector and/or hand searched. Any object considered to be a weapon or that is deemed unacceptable by the Sheriff deputies will be confiscated and or be dealt with appropriately.
Smoking
The Justice Center building is a smoke-free facility. However, there is an atrium on the Fourth Floor where smoking is permitted.
Building Facilities
The Justice Center cafeteria is on the Fourth Floor open to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is also a coffee/deli shop on the 1st floor open to the public from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Personal Items
All personal items should remain with you at all times as we are not responsible for packages or articles such as cameras, radios, laptops, tablets, cellular phones, etc.

Attire
Casual, comfortable attire is acceptable, but use good judgment and dress appropriately. We suggest dressing in layers due to fluctuation in temperature in our facility.
