Media Advisory Holding Court in the Community: Cleveland Municipal Court Takes R.O.C.K. on the Road

The Cleveland Municipal Court will be conducting arraignment proceedings in the community for parents charged with a curfew law violation, because their child was stopped by police during school hours. 80 parents have been summoned.

What:  The Cleveland Municipal Court will be conducting arraignment  proceedings in the community for parents charged with a curfew law violation, because their child was stopped by police during school hours.  80 parents have been summoned.

Arraignment at 5:00 p.m.
Parent Meetings at 6:00 p.m. 
 Who: The Honorable Emanuella Groves
The Honorable Lauren C. Moore
 Why: This is an effort on behalf of the Cleveland Municipal Court to better connect with the community and send a message to parents that they need to be held accountable for what their child is doing not just inside, but outside the classroom.   The ROCK Program, which stands for Redirecting our Curfew Kids, was implemented in 2012 in response to the large number of citations issued to parents when their child was found violating the curfew law.
